ATAC Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What is the ATAC Certificate?
The Activities training and assessment certificate
is an accredited assessment and training tool for activity coordinators. The
course format is distance learning. Learners read the course materials, complete
the course work and return it to the centre for marking.
Q2. How much does it cost?
The course costs £99.00 (plus £4.95postage)
. A ‘print your own’
version is available for £85.00 which requires an active email account.
The cost includes course materials, support, marking and course certificate
once competence is achieved.
Q3. How long does it take?
There is no definite time limit and it’s up to you to complete the course
work. However, with a little effort the course can easily be completed within
3-6 months.
Q4. How does the work get marked?
Course work can be submitted to the marking centre
by post or email, once it has arrived at the marking centre allow 2 weeks for
the marked sections to be returned.
Q5. How much support can I expect?
Once learners are enrolled, they are allocated a personal
tutor. You can contact your personal tutor during office hours using a text
call back system or by email.
Q6. Does
the course count towards NVQ’s?
The
ATAC certificate is relevant to other qualifications learners may be undertaking
and has been mapped into NVQ level 2and 3, and into the skills for care induction
framework.

do I get more information?

Q8. How
do I start the course?
You will need to complete an enrolment form for each learner. Once payment has
been received, your course materials will be dispatched. If you have chosen
the print your own version, this is sent by email.
Q9. What
if I change my mind?
You may return the course materials for a full refund within 7 days as long
as the plastic packaging has not been opened. This is not applicable for the
print your own version.
